Therapeutic Yoga for Head Injury

A calming, supportive class designed for the unique needs of people recovering from brain injury.

This class offers a safe, slow-paced yoga practice tailored specifically for individuals healing from head injury. The focus is on rebuilding calm, balance, and confidence through gentle movement, grounding breathwork, and nervous-system–friendly relaxation.

What to expect:

  • Slow movements done seated, lying down, or standing with support for gentle strengthening and improved body awareness
  • Clear, one-step-at-a-time instructions to reduce cognitive load
  • Longer pauses between movements to support pacing and reduce fatigue
  • Restorative postures using props for comfort and stability
  • Guided relaxation or Yoga Nidra to calm the nervous system, reduce body tension and support brain recovery

Location: Studio IPF, 303B - 13th Street, Courtenay - Parking at back, Studio is upstairs, enter from 13th Street Side
